After leading people on walks for over a year now down on the quite stretch of the Birmingham and Fazeley canal we are delighted to be awarded Arts Council England funding.
The project aims to run a series of arts events between April and June 2019 to help people use this space and think about how it might be used in the future. We are just waiting to hear about some other funding to really have impact and do the things we have planned. We are working on some great collaborations with local organisations and artists.
The project focuses on the area of the canal area that runs between Bordesely to Belmont Row where the old Lock Keepers cottage sits just above the canal. The section of canal between Belmont Row and Curzon Street will be impacted by the construction of the new HS2 Curzon Street Station.
We will post regular updates on the project here.
