Spring is here and that means its a great time of year to get out on the streets and take photographs.
We are delighted to be able to offer a free photography workshop on Saturday 4 May 2019 10-3pm in Stirchley for people taking part in the Stirchley High Street project.
The project runs until June and involves a small group of local people creating a contemporary record of high street. You don't need any experience and you can just use your phone camera.
We have a couple of places left to join the group so please get in touch if you're interested. The photograph workshop is being led by local resident Pete Ashton who runs Photo School Birmingham. This will be a great place to start if you would like some help taking photographs for the project. The work of the groups will at the end of the project be printed in a special edition newspaper which will capture many aspect of the visual landscape and life on the High Street.
