Current Projects

Stirchley High Street Stories is a community arts project that explores the visual environment and stories found in one of Birmingham's most unique and curious high streets.

The stories are collected by community volunteer photographers using street photography and by talking to local people we meet on the high street. The project provides a contemporary snapshot of Stirchley's high street including its shopfronts, signs and life.

We have been sharing stories here:

  • Photo stories have been shared using Instagram #stirchleyhighstreet
  • Photo blog on tumblr
  • Pop up gallery at Stirchley Fete 1st June 2019
  • Coming up pop up gallery and Stirchley High Street Stories newspaper on 25 June from 7pm at Artefact

For the project each of the community photographers have been working on photo stories that will appear in a special edition free newspaper.
