Ghost Streets Up Fund aims to provide small grants or equipment to sign-painters or street artists living in Jamaica. The ambition is through collaborative work to support creativity and the work of Jamaican artists.
The fund provides support to individual artists by invitation only. If you would like to introduce your work in Jamaica you can share this via @ghost.streets on Instagram
The fund takes inspiration from the positive word Up used in Jamaica to mean everything Up Up Up ... positive or awesome.
The initiative was established in July 2019 by Ghost Streets CIC founder Tracey Thorne and connects to her work documenting the visual landscape of Jamaica and work of artists.
If you would like to contribute towards the fund you can purchase a limited edition not for profit zine for £5 called Hand-painted Jamaica (£3 from each sale goes into the Up Fund).
All monies collected via Ghost Streets paid events on Eventbrite from July 2019 will go in to the Up Fund.
